A DAY IN YOUR LIFE

Athens

Athens Project

The competition took place for the first time as a specially adapted three-day program in Greece, from July 19th to 21st, 2022. The event received full support from Plaisio Computers and was produced by Marina Nicoletopoulos. Jackson and her team travelled to Athens, where eleven children living in The Home Project structures ventured out into various neighbourhoods to take photographs, express themselves, and experiment based on their interests. The result is a series of thirty-two photographs presented for the first time at the 'Atraktos' space from March 31 to April 2, 2023. These photographs capture how the children perceive their lives in the city, showcasing their friends, nature, animals, and more. The exhibition presents a unique opportunity to witness the process of their photographic workshops.

The "Young Artists" competition is a photography competition specially designed for children and young people, driven by the community and focused on ensuring equal opportunities for all. Going beyond that, it represents a change in perspective, as children express themselves through photography and imagery, discovering new elements of their personality and sociability.

Children are the protagonists and the future, and this fact remains unquestionable.

The photo exhibition "Young Artists, The Home Project" showcases the work of unaccompanied refugee children as part of the international competition "Young Artists" by BAFTA-winning artist Alison Jackson. Plaisio Computers and Atraktos support "Young Artists," Alison Jackson's photography competition.

Special thanks to the contributors of The Home Project and Atraktos.
